Description

New Audio Components (NewAC) is a freeware set of components designed to perform sound recording, playback, conversion, and editing.

The main NewAC features include:

  • Sound recording and playback.
  • Decoding live MP3 and WMA audio streams from network servers.
  • Broadcasting audio over the network.
  • Encoding and decoding audio data in several formats (wav, mp3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, WavPack, Monkey Audio, WMA (including WMA Lossless), TTA, OptimFROG, Musepack, TAK, DTS, AC-3).
  • CD-ripping, CD playback.
  • Sound editing and mixing.
  • Audio files tags editing.
  • 8, 16, 24, 32-bit sound support.
  • Multi-channel audio support.
  • Full Unicode support on Delphi 2009 or later.
  • Windows Vista DSP objects support.
  • Extracting audio tracks from WMV and AVI, VOB files.
  • Audio resamling, filtering, frequency analysis.
The main goal of NewAC is to bring together several different sound storage and processing technologies, and to combine them into an easy to use Delphi framework. NewAC 2.2.1 new features include ASIO support, DTS and AC-3 support, improved latency, improved FLAC and WavPack formats handling.
